Create your own bee drinking bowl!

This is a simple way to help bees and butterflies make it through the hot summer days.

Step 1: Use a shallow dish or plant saucer; the edges should not be too high

Step 2: Fill half the bowl with pebbles or marbles. They will prevent the insects from drowning.

Step 3: Fill the other half with moss and add water.

Moss will hold the water, making it easy for even the smallest insects to drink. Bees prefer rainwater, so use it to fill your bowl if you can!
